Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at how we tackled the M.C. Solar logo design — an iterative, collaborative process that ensured every design was infused with the brand’s vision and values:
- Discovery & Inspiration
We kicked things off by learning all about M.C. Solar’s mission and audience. Was the focus on clean energy, innovation, or trustworthiness? Then, did the client prefer literal representations, or more abstract? Understanding these core values helped us brainstorm symbols like suns, solar panels, and rays of light — literal representations tied directly to renewable energy and environmental stewardship. - Concept Exploration
With inspiration in mind, we drafted multiple logo concepts — playing with icon shapes, letterforms, and color palettes. Some designs leaned toward bold, modern geometry, while others incorporated more organic, sun-like shapes. We also tested different typographic styles to see which fonts best communicated reliability and forward-thinking innovation. - Color & Refinement
After reviewing the initial sketches, we fine-tuned our top contenders, paying close attention to how each logo felt in terms of color psychology and brand personality. Did the warm yellows and oranges evoke the energy of the sun? Did subtle greens suggest sustainability? By refining line weights, spacing, and color combinations, we shaped each concept into a polished, eye-catching design. You can see below, on the right, where we narrowed the palette and typeface. Then, along the bottom we visualized the logo on a dark background with a gold foil stamped effect. - Client Feedback & Final Selection
Throughout the process, we gathered feedback from the M.C. Solar team to ensure the designs aligned with their vision. Together, we narrowed down the options and refined the chosen concept until it perfectly captured the essence of solar power, innovation, and environmental commitment. The result?
